Shannon Crane a.k.a Boss Bi*ch
Shannon is our studio owner and lead Vixen! Bringing pole dancing, hula hooping, aerial fitness and more to Toronto since 2007. An entrepreneur for 15+ years, she created, lives and loves her brand, Brass Vixens. She is certified in Pole Dancing, Pilates, Hula Hooping and Aerial Fitness. You’ll be sure to hear a rock music playlist in her classes, including her fav band, Deftones!

Amethyst
Amethyst began her pole journey in January 2018 after seeing someone perform at a local club, she found herself enamored by the performers confidence and feminine energy. From her first class she was hooked and knew that this would be the start of something truly special. For her the pole studio became a place where she could finally tap into her divine feminine energy something that had been yearning to be released for a long time. Which is why in her classes she invites you to tap into your own divine feminine energy, regardless of your gender identity. Whether it’s through sensual movement, building basic pole skills or simply finding joy through movement come as you are and she will handle the rest.

Bella S
Bella found her passion in pole dancing in 2022 after a life of moving from China, Los Angeles and eventually settling in Toronto. She was infatuated with the aerial community which has some of the most vibrant, supportive, and amazing people. Having done Chinese traditional dancing which involved splits, back bends, and flips as a child, pole tricks fascinated her. She also slowly developed love for erotic style pole dancing and has been incorporating it into her teaching of beginner pole classes at Brass Vixens. Join Bella in Pole 1 and Pole 2 classes and grow with her!

Chona R
Chona discovered pole dancing in 2006 and hasn’t looked back! She began instructing at Brass Vixens in 2007 and her love of pole led her to many other avenues of aerial fitness. She is passionate about all things aerial and constantly enhancing her skills by attending various pole camps across North America as well as workshops offered at the Pole Convention and Pole Expo. She is currently the Customer Service Specialist for the Pole Expo that takes place every year in Las Vegas. Along with her pole certifications from Brass Vixens, she has also received her pole dance instructor certificate through Pole Fitness Studio Las Vegas which is aligned with the Pole Fitness Association, her hoop certification from Hoopnotica (2010), a FlyGym aerial fitness certification (2013), ElevATED Pole Fitness Level 1 in NYC (2014), PFIC Lyra and Aerial Yoga Fitness 1 (2015) and in 2016 completed ElevATED Pole Fitness Level 2 in NYC as well as the Brass Vixens certification for teaching Intro to Lyra, Beginner Lyra and Lyra Conditioning. Recently was a judge for the CPFA Nationals in June 2019 in Toronto.

Deb C
Deb was looking to put the fun back into her fitness routine. In 2020 she joined Brass Vixens and quickly became smitten by the pole. The ability to combine physical fitness and creativity to explore movement and performance was too enticing to resist. Deb discovered how empowering pole dancing is; being more connected to her physical and mental self through dance brought many positive changes in her life. She loves the encouraging and supportive atmosphere of the studio. Deb has completed Pole 1&2, Inversion, Aerial, Lyra and Erotic Pole training. Currently. Deb teaches weekly Pole 1 & 2 classes at Brass Vixens.

Hailstorm
Hailey spontaneously decided to purchase a pole while being stuck at home during 2020. This was the perfect transition for her coming from a background in competitive dance, which had her heart for 11 years previously. Hailey started dancing at Brass Vixens in 2022 and discovered she wanted to share her love for the art. Hailey currently teaches beginner Pole 1 & Pole 2. Along with teaching, you can find her occasionally performing throughout the city.

Helen M
Helen has been active in the fitness industry for over 40 years. She began her journey at a time when very few women lifted weights, developing an early passion for strength training. Her path later led her to Martial Arts, where she earned a 4th-degree black belt and enjoyed a successful competitive career.
Over the years, Helen became a certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, and Group Fitness Instructor. She has taught a wide range of disciplines including Martial Arts, Yoga, Pilates, and strength-based group classes. After retiring from Martial Arts competition, Helen turned her focus to the world of women’s competitive fitness, earning multiple trophies in both the Figure and Bikini divisions, including a trip to the prestigious Arnold Sports Festival. She later transitioned into coaching athletes and judging competitions.

In 2017, Helen discovered Pole Dancing and was instantly hooked by the strength, grace, and challenge it offered. Two years later, she joined the Brass Vixens community and expanded her love for Aerial Arts by diving into Lyra and Aerial Yoga. She went on to complete her Pole Instructor Certification with the CPFA, her Lyra Instructor Training, and her Aerial Yoga certification—all through Brass Vixens.

Helen continues to train, learn, and teach with passion, always striving to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with others. Whether you’re stepping into class for the first time or leveling up your skills, Helen brings experience, encouragement, and a whole lot of heart. She can’t wait to see you in class!

Kat Morningstar
Kat Morningstar is a choreographer and instructor specializing in erotic pole and floorplay. Her signature dark flow style blends smooth, controlled movements with a raw emotional undertone, making every routine personal and powerful. Kat began her pole dancing journey in February 2018, quickly developing a deep connection to the art form. The combination of strength and expression captivated her, and in January 2022, she transitioned into teaching. Kat believes that dance is a journey of self-expression and encourages her students to move confidently and unapologetically in their own skin. Whether performing or teaching, Kat is passionate about helping others find their voice through dance, and she is excited to continue sharing her love of dance with her students.

Lady Irishka
Looking for a fitness activity that would combine dance and strength training, Irina discovered pole dancing in May 2014. With her passion for teaching and fitness, she welcomed the opportunity to start instructing pole, aerial and flexibility classes at Brass Vixens in April 2016. Being trained in gymnastics for more than 7 years and classical ballet for 3 years, Irina applies the foundations of classical dance and acrobatics to practicing and teaching Pole dancing, Twerk, Flexibility and general conditioning classes. Her education as a medical professional strengthened her knowledge in dancing physiology which allows her to teach safe pole dancing techniques and professionally spot students in any level of class. Irina never stops learning and in order to perfect her teaching, she completed her full instructor certification at Brass Vixens studio along with International Pole dance certification in New York in the ElevatEd program. She also continuously takes classes in various gyms, circus, pole dance and other dance studios. Irina is a well-known Erotic Pole and Twerk Performer in Toronto and Canada. She regularly dances at her local studio’s showcases as well as various showcases in the GTA, co-produces comedy and pole dance events, and has performed at events for the International stars such as Snoop Dogg. As a dancer, Irina always tries to combine athleticism of pole sport with the art and fluidity of the dance. She always shares her experience as a performer that she has been gaining from a very young age with her students. She encourages students to come and learn the art and craft of pole dancing with her no matter what their goals are – to gain strength, learn how to dance, gain performer skills or all of the above. Irina can help students reach their full potential in a fun and non-judgmental atmosphere.

Lainey Luck
Lainey Luck has been working for Brass Vixens since 2015. She has a background in visual arts, photography and human resources management. When she discovered pole dance she instantly fell in love with it as a form of self-expression and an unconventional, fun way to get fit! Her role at Brass Vixens is multidisciplinary and always evolving. She works in front desk administration, sales, human resources, operations, and has even photographed some of the Brass Vixens showcases.

Ly P
Ly discovered pole dancing in June 2017 and fell in love with all things aerial. She has a background in figure skating, snowboarding, contemporary modern dance, traditional Vietnamese dance, singing ,and communication studies. The empowering and supportive pole dancing community keeps her coming back for more and hopes you will too.

Mac Tavish
Mac is a nonbinary circus freak with a passion for backbends, climbing things and living life upside down. Their love of pole and lyra began in June 2017 when they joined the Brass Vixens family. Since then they have trained and performed aerial and burlesque solo and group acts across Toronto and internationally. Mac is passionate about strength and conditioning and believes that anyone can achieve their fitness goals if they are willing to work for it. As a naturally inflexible human, their tenacity and progress in contortion training since 2020 makes them the perfect coach for beginners and those who are worried it might not be possible for them. Tight back, stubborn splits, and progress plateaus, Mac has been through it all and can guide you through as well. They recently spent three months in Seattle training contortion full-time and are thrilled to bring all the strong and bendy knowledge into their coaching practice. They will be bringing the fire with fun, high-energy group classes. Expect sweat, cardio, core, conditioning, and K-pop.

Nicole L
Nicole loves to move! She has practiced many different styles of dance and fitness including Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Yoga, and Taekwondo! Nicole discovered pole dancing in 2015 and has been in love ever since. Her background in teaching has helped to compliment her Brass Vixens instructor training that she completed in 2019. No matter what a student’s goals are- Nicole loves to help everyone reach their full potential! Catch her teaching Pole, Floorplay, and Erotic Classes!

Pastel Supernova
Supernova is a classically trained LatinX dancer/actor and choreographer. Her 20+year career includes work in film/television, and global tours from little theatres to stadiums alike. She was the artistic director of Love Letters Cabaret, a diverse multidisciplinary Toronto ensemble that quickly earned the reputation of being “Toronto’s most sexually charged dance theatre company.” She’s won several international burlesque awards and has performed alongside legends like Dita Von Teese. As a teacher, Pastel is most interested in helping people harness their confidence and grace by blending art, movement, and ritual, offering services to guide folx towards their personal power.

Rebecca
Rebecca began her pole fitness journey in 2018 and immediately fell in love with the sport. As someone who had never thought of herself as an “active” person, pole was a surprising but much needed addition to her life. She hopped around various studios while she was in school, eventually settling in Toronto and finding a home at Brass Vixens. Pole has been a cornerstone of Rebecca’s life, boosting her mental health, physical health and confidence. She aspires to provide a welcoming environment for people of all fitness backgrounds and abilities in her beginner classes. Outside of pole, Rebecca enjoys writing, karate, boxing, and attending local shows.

Taryn C
Taryn is the Studio Assistant Manager at Brass Vixens and one of the friendly faces you’ll often see greeting members at the front desk and helping keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Passionate about fitness, Pilates, weight training, beauty, and wellness, she loves learning about all things health and self-care. Taryn takes great pride in keeping the studio sparkling clean, organized, and welcoming so every Vixen can enjoy the best possible experience. Whether she’s answering questions, supporting members, or keeping things running smoothly, she’s always happy to help. When she’s not at the studio, you’ll likely find her at the gym or spending time with her adorable puppy, Mango. Taryn is always happy to lend a hand and help make the studio feel like home.

Tayye C
Te’Anne, also known as Tayye, found pole dancing in June 2019 after discovering Brass Vixens. She became deeply fascinated with the health benefits and sexy nature pole fitness offers, as well as its very welcoming pole community. Tayye has a background in Musical Theatre and played Scary Spice as part of a Spice Girls tribute band for several years which allowed her to tour doing live performances abroad and that experience is what attracted her to be an entertainer. Her experience has been transformative for her practice and she incorporates it into her daily life and her dancing. Pole dancing has been a life changing experience for Tayye; it has improved her physical health as well her mental health, self-esteem and overall confidence. She is currently working towards her instructor certification to teach and continue advancing as a dancer. Tayye embraces any opportunity to twerk or indulge in sexy, erotic expressive movement and aspires to increase her strength, flexibility, and skill as a dancer always looking forward to what her pole journey has in store.

Teresa Morante
Teresa took part in numerous types of dance classes as a child but nothing ever felt right! After multiple years on a dance hiatus, Teresa stumbled upon a class pass for Brass Vixens. After her first pole class in 2017, Teresa fell in love. She finally found a studio that matched her personality, movements and love for booty twerking! Currently Teresa is exploring how her body can move, the strength that she is capable of, and she encourages her students to embrace their differences and what makes them strong, special, and radiant!

Tim Lagman
Tim began his pole dancing journey in October 2019 when a friend dragged him along on a Groupon. Ever since then he couldn’t stop coming to classes. Not even a pandemic held him back from the pole. As a certified sex educator Tim loves to explore the art of sensual movement and believes that it helps him own his identity as a queer person. He believes that pole helps build his confidence, express himself comfortably, and hopefully dominate the world. Join Tim as he combines his unique brands of sexy and comedy, and you’ll leave class feeling your abs ache from either crunches or laughter.
