Studio Etiquette

1. Arrive 15 minutes BEFORE class time. If it is your first time, you need to fill out a waiver and get checked in. You can be denied entry for class if you are late. We don’t control the transit system so please allow travel time.

2. Cell phones must be on silent. We don’t mind if you’re on the phone in the waiting room, but please ensure your phone is off so it doesn’t disrupt classes.

3. We are an open concept studio, please be aware that some classes are quieter than others and be mindful of the noise level.

4. We like to be as drama free as possible! We love all our customers but please avoid gossiping about other customers and/or staff. Drama and negativity are not welcome! You can leave it in the bin by the door but hopefully you don’t pick it up when you leave!

General Studio Policies

Important: Please take a minute to read over our policies:

Sign-Up Policy:
We recommend you sign up for all classes at Brass Vixens.  Pre-registration opens 4 days before class time.  You can sign up online using our registration site or via our app for iPhone (via iTunes) or android devices at Google Play.

All reservations are held until class begins.

Late Policy:
We ask you arrive to class 15 minutes early.  This gives you time to settle into the studio, get changed and relax.  We all know how busy downtown Toronto is so please take that into consideration when coming in for classes.  If you know you are late, you may call us and let us know so we’ll hold your spot but there is absolutely no admittance to class 5 minutes after start time.

If you are more than 5 minutes late to class, we reserve the right to give your spot to another student. You will not be allowed to join the class and will be charged. This is a safety issue and we ask that you respect both our instructors and other students by showing up on time.

Cancellation Policy:
At Brass Vixens we have a 12-hour cancellation policy. As long as you cancel at least twelve hours before your scheduled class or wait list, you will not lose that class and a credit will be added to your account.

For example if you are scheduled for a class at 8:30 p.m., you need to cancel by 8:30 a.m. We understand that sometimes things come up, but we cannot facilitate every issue in each individual life, so please understand and respect this policy. If you cancel within the allowable time, the class will be credited back to your account (you will not receive a refund of monies paid).

You may cancel your class up to 12 hours before start time. Reservations are held until class starts.  We are unable to accept email or phone calls as forms for cancellations due to the volume of our studio. If you don’t cancel your class online at least 12 hours beforehand, you will be charged for the class.

Late Cancel:
If you do not cancel 12 hours or less before class time, you will be charged $5.

No Show:
If you do not show up to your scheduled class, you will be charged $10.
These fees are automatically added to your account effective May 2nd, 2014.

Wait List Policy:
When classes are full you can sign up to be on the wait list, as sometimes people will opt out early from classes making room for those on the wait list.

When a student signs out ( as long as it is before the 12-hour cancellation period) you will receive an automatic email, letting you know you have been moved from the wait list into class. If you are added into class, you will be held to the same cancellation policy as any other class you sign up for.

*If you are not sure you will be able to make it with a short notice, please remove yourself from the wait list to avoid being charged for class in case you are added in. You may come to class and wait on stand-by. We do not guarantee we can get you into class from stand by, but if there are spaces they will be opened up 5 minutes after the class begins.

Non-Refund Policy
Refunds are not offered.

Promotional Memberships
Promotional memberships purchased at a reduced rate are to be activated before their expiry and used in full upon activation over the allotted period. Promo memberships cannot be put on hold once activated.

Level Changes
If you think you are ready to move up a level please consult with your instructor.  We require an instructor recommendation for all level changes.
