Brass Vixens Is Now Online!

Toronto’s first, largest and BEST Virtual Pole Studio!!!

As of July 21, 2021 we will be using the Mindbody Livestream platform to host our online classes.

To make our Virtual Studio a more integrated experience, as of Wednesday July 21st we will be switching platforms for our online classes and migrating from Fitgrid to Mindbody Livestream.

Please take a moment to read below on how to join our livestream classes on the new platform and be sure to put aside extra time to learn and get used to the new process! Our instructors and staff will do their best to help you in this transition.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out at info@brassvixens.com (or DM us!)

See you at the next class!

  • Sign into your Brass Vixens or MINDBODY account and ensure that your email address is correct, and that you’ve opted in to receive emails from us.
  • Sign up for any class with “Online” in the name and proceed through the checkout process normally. You’ll receive a confirmation email soon after.
  • Set your email account so that messages from “noreply@mail.mindbodyemail.com” always arrive in your inbox, and are never marked as spam.
  • About 30 minutes before the class’ scheduled start time, you’ll receive another email from Brass Vixens with a link to access the live stream. Not seeing the email? Search your spam and promotions folders. Search for emails containing the phrase “link to your virtual class”.
  • Make sure you are in a place with a good internet connection–otherwise, the stream may skip!
  • Join the livestream a few minutes before class is scheduled to start.

Desktop users:

  • On a desktop, live stream classes work better on Google Chrome browser. You can also download Mindbody Live—a program that improves the live stream experience on a desktop or laptop.

Mobile devices:

  • On a mobile device, the best experience will be found on iOS Safari or Chrome for Android.
  • If you are using an iOS device, you must disable the pop up blocker.

Here’s how to do that:

Go to Settings > Safari.

In the General section, tap the Block Pop-ups toggle. It will turn white to indicate it’s turned off.

  • Now you can click the join livestream button, and follow the prompts to log in.
  • If class hasn’t started yet, you’ll hang out in a waiting room.
  • Before entering the meeting you will enter a preview screen for camera and soundcheck. Once you’re ready, click Join.

For detailed instructions (with screenshots) on how to join a livestream, see the Mindbody tutorial HERE.

Do you have any questions? Call us at 416.901.2848 or use our Contact Form. We’re excited to have you join us in this new way of learning.

Being online is new for most of us, here’s a few notes to help make your experience awesome!

  • Do be sure to sign in early for class. Warm ups are important! There will be no admittance into class after the warm up is finished. This is for your safety!
  • If you have questions or would like to chat with your instructor, join the class a few minutes early and you can either unmute yourself to speak or type into the chat before the class starts. There will also be opportunities to ask questions during and after each class.
  • Please keep discussions courteous and respectful, be mindful of whether you have any background noise and whether your mic is muted or unmuted while class is in session. Any audio that comes through will be recorded in our class recordings.
  • Turning on your video is optional but encouraged so that we can see and easily interact with you! It is also great for getting live coaching and feedback from the instructor.
  • Listen to your body. Use modifications when appropriate. Ask questions if you need to!
  • Prepare your space and what you need for class in advance! Generally we recommend having a water bottle nearby and a mat, towel or blanket handy.
  • Dress appropriately for the class you are taking. We recommend layers so you are comfortable and you can easily shed a layer once you are warmed up. You may find recommendations in our class descriptions for specific class attire and equipment such as knee pads, over the knee socks, booty shorts, yoga blocks, therabands, etc.Your instructor may have other suggestions that they will mention before class begins, so be sure to join a few minutes early so you don’t miss it!
  • Stay sexy, stay hydrated, have fun!
